Terms and Conditions

Power and Heating Solutions Ltd. Plumbing, Heating, Solar, Electrical, Gas and Oil Installers, Building and Property Repairs. (Herein after called the company)

1 The Company agrees to supply and install the equipment as detailed in the estimate and the customer agrees to the full payment of the balance immediately on completion of the estimated works.

 

2 Any additional work further to that agreed through the estimate which may be required by the customer or by necessity will be agreed by both parties and be paid for separately immediately on completion of the works.

 

3 Completion of the contract is when the system has been installed in accordance with the system component manufacturers' recommendations and a commissioning form has been completed and handed over to the customer.

 

4 Standard warranties on components will vary according to the manufacturer. Manufacturer warranties on solar collectors will be for not less than 5 years, boilers will be not less than 2 years, cylinders no less than 2 years and all other parts for 1 year.

The Company gives a 2 year warranty on workmanship.

 

5 The customer may cancel this agreement within 7 working days (cooling off period) of the date of the signed agreement. Cancellation must be in writing or by e mail and sent to the Company address as detailed on the quotation. Should the Customer cancel after the 14 day period the Company reserves the right to charge of up to 25% of the full price.

 

6 The Company shall not be liable to the Customer or be deemed to be in breach of contract by reason of any delay or failure to perform any of the Company's obligations if the delay or failure was due to and cause beyond the Company's reasonable control.

 

7 A deposit of 50% of the estimated work should be forwarded on acceptance of the estimate to cover material costs.

A second payment of 25% of the estimated work should be paid on commencement of the estimated work to cover any additional costs if requested. The remainder of the moneys should be paid nett upon completion of the work unless by written mutual arrangement for interim payments. Any certificates will be issued upon receipt of payments of all the moneys due. The Company holds the right to withhold or withdraw any certificates or warrantees until payment terms are complied with.

 

8 The consumer is solely responsible for gaining all necessary approval/planning permission that may be required with respect to the installation of Electrical, Plumbing, Heating, Solar Thermal or P.V. systems.  It is the responsibility of the customer that they should inform any leaseholders freeholders mortgagors and insurers of the property about the planned work where necessary.

 

9 All though it is the responsibility of the customer to apply for the grants available we can however offer advise and support on the initial application process.  However it is ultimately the customer’s sole responsibility where grant issues are concerned (application deadlines etc)

 

10 The installation will consist of all the equipment listed on the estimate being installed at the estimates address.  It will not include any additional Plumbing, Heating, Gas, Oil or electrical wiring where existing wiring does not conform to BS7671 Electrical Wiring Regulation or currant gas, oil, water and heating regulations.  Examples would be, undersized or non existence of earth bonding, Insufficient rating of circuit or consumer unit, breaker or fuse, under sized gas, water or heating pipe work.

 

11 The installation will consist of all the equipment being installed at the estimates address.  It will not include any additional equipment being supplied and fitted to any other part of the existing heating or electrical systems, to bring it in line with current Part L of the Building Regulations and part P of the 17th edition wiring regulations.

 

12 The installation will consist of all the equipment being installed at the address on the estimate. It will not include any additional hot water, heating or electrical service equipment that does not comply with WRAS (Water Regulation Advisory Scheme) or 17th edition wiring regulations.

 

13 Although every effort will be made to cause as little or no damage to decoration (wall paper or paint work).  However it is sometimes unavoidable where surface mounted pipe work exists that must be replaced or altered.  the company will not be held liable for any of the redecoration

 

14 Estimates shall be open for acceptance for a period of 28 days, after which The Company reserve the right to modify or            withdraw. Estimates do not include, (a) Removal of floor coverings or furniture, nor subsequent reinstatement. (B)             Work recommended to be carried out by others prior to or following upon The Company work.

 

15 The following steps should be taken at no cost to The Company to ensure uninterrupted progress of work.

(a) Provision of access.

(b) Normal and safe supply of water and electricity.

(c) Removal from areas to be worked in of furniture and other effects. Any items remaining within the area remain the responsibility of the client.

 

16 The Company reserve the right to charge for any loss and/or expense incurred through disruption and/or delay to the progress of work, caused either directly or indirectly by action of contractors or others not in the employment of The Company.

 

17 The Company reserve the right to charge interest at a rate of 6% above Barclays bank base rate per week on any             balance outstanding.
